Recently I've been introduced to this cool platform for making music with code called Strudel.
As someone with practically no music experience outside of mandatory lessons in secondary school, I've found that this tool provides music dummies like me the opportunity to create nice sounds through a language that I can actually speak, no music theory required.

I spent about an hour crafting this looping piece of music by mushing code examples together, which, to my untrained ears, sounds pretty neat:
